WHY COMEDY?

Comedy, in its various forms,  is possibly the most popular of entertainment in the world. Stand-Up, Improv, Sketch, Blockbuster Movies, TV Sit-Coms, Broadway and even most dramas include elements of comedy to tell their stories.

Laughter is very powerful. We need it in our lives. We seek it out by watching others create comedic stories and situation on stages and screens of various sizes, but as Adults we too often forget how to play ourselves. We especially forget to bring laughter to work.

Corporate Comedy, while it may sound like we are taking the fun out of the art form, is all about putting fun and laughter into the work place.

By itself Laughter has incredible healing powers for the body, mind and soul. Laughing has been known to reduce stress and blood pressure. Laughter relaxes us. Laughter brings people together and breaks down walls of fear and distrust.

Corporate Comedy is all about harnessing the power of laughter and humor to build a better team.

Your team will have so much fun, they will not even be aware this is all educational, but they will leave changed for the better.

Interactive Comedy Shows bring the team together to laugh and participate in creating some humor. Simply laughing together breaks down think walls replacing with builds bonds of trust. Improv Workshops get the team playing together –  unleashing their inner child, tapping into forgotten creative talents and working together to create stories and scenes.  Your team discovers the power of “YES! And…”.

More advanced workshops and break out sessions are tailored to your needs.

Once the team learns to have fun together via shows and Improv workshops, we can now harness that training. We break into teams to have focused  discussions about Conflict Resolution, Customer Service, Sales and Team Management. We use Improv to role play scenarios. The team comes back together to present their break out work in form of improvised skits.

In Improv Comedy, “YES!” is all about accepting your colleagues and their contributions to the team.  As we play Improv games we are all equals, regardless of age, experience, race, creed, personality etc.  We create a safe space and level playing field for all to play. We accept our colleague 100% as is.  EVERYTHING they say and do. We do not judge. We do not fear.

“AND…” is all about contributing valuable work and information to the team. We are not going to let our colleagues do the work by simply saying “YES!” We are going to take this to the next level by accepting our colleagues work and building upon with our own contributions, supporting everything that comes before our new addition. Performance drive now comes from within. We feel a duty to pull our weight.

When the whole team embraces “YES! And…” we enter the learning zone together. The entire team is now personally engaged in the success of the team. This brings out the best in all of us. We leave ego and insecurity behind. We now are hyper focused on team and its goals.  The entire team accepts challenges together. The entire team wins.
