THE COMPLETE PACKAGE – Full Day Team Building Seminar

This package combines our show and workshops with food and drink.
We can recreate this package anywhere in America.
Actual timing flexible.

9:30am Meet & Greet
Upon Arrival your team will be greeted by our team and invited to a continental breakfast of coffee, juice and bread baskets filled with bite-sized carbs (bagels, croissants, donuts and muffins), cheeses, spreads (jellies, jams, honey, nutella), yogurt, and fruit. This gives the team a chance to unwind. We call this our morning cocktail hour (except with coffee instead of beer/wine).

10am Morning Improv Workshop
The team, under the direction of our teaching artists, plays a series of games. Our Rule #1 – HAVE FUN but never any anyone else’s expense. Rule #1 in Improv “YES! And…” is all about accepting your team and their contributions then adding on with details that forward the story and while supporting everything our team has offered. While playing these games the team begins to relax and have fun. We encourage the entire team communicate clearly their offers. Everyone engages is in listening to the team. Listening is define as “a willingness to change” based on what is heard. Together we create original stories and scenes. Through out we include tie ins to psychological safety and other corporate team concepts. But we truly achieve psychological safety simply by laughing together and supporting each other in the games.  We let down our walls of insecurity and ego. We build strong bonds of trust. We also teach how to use these games every day to bring laughter into the office and start the day/meetings with smiles.

12pm LUNCH
Usually catered from local Kosher Deli – we set out platters of wraps, salads, chips and dips (hummus, guacamole, salsa etc). Plenty of vegetarian and gluten free options.  In addition to the coffee we keep hot and fresh, we have chilled soda, juices and bottled water. There is also an assortment of cookies and candies for the sweet tooth cravings.

1pm SHOW
Our show begins with the MC warming up and preparing the crowd. After a morning workshop and lunch this is a pretty easy task. Every five minutes the MC is asking the audience for suggestions for the next game – a scene, song or other comedy bit.  Guests are encouraged to sing along with the improvised blues, jig and other musical forms. At least three games require audience volunteers on stage to participate and help steer the comedy direction, providing sound effects, filling in the blanks (Human Mad Libs) or posing for 3-d slides of the last team building event, vacation or famous historical event. The show is customized to your audience simply by how they contribute to the show directly. We also  insert elements from your information about the team, team goals etc. Too much can destroy the comedy but used sparingly the show becomes incredibly personalized to your needs.

2pm Afternoon Session
This now becomes highly customized to your needs. Some teams simply run a meeting. After a morning  of creative bonding, these can be highly effective brainstorming sessions. With the team at a heightened focus, managers can more effective flesh out the team needs and move towards a productive future.

Some teams will choose to run a compliment circle. Each team member gets a chance in the hot seat while each team mate reveals what they love about working with that individual. Everyone leaves feeling great about themselves and their team.

Need a little more serious work. How about a conflict resolution breakout session? We just ran this with a team of 60 teachers from a number of suspension sites in NYC schools. In the past we have used this to better management, sales and service teams. After a brief brainstorming about common problems the team faces, we use Improv to role play scenarios. We discuss solutions that have worked in the past and brainstorm better ways to insert our new YES AND training into the situation. The

3:45 WRAP-UP
We always finish the day with a brief Q&A. Lets have a chance to folks to discuss how to apply these skills every day. Our team and your team have one last chance to draw from each other’s experiences and focus the future movements.

HOLIDAY PARTIES

Corporate Comedy has the best clean comedy shows for any event – Hilarious shows that won’t offend featuring top notch entertainers.

We also have Santa, Elves, Mrs. Claus, and other characters.

Book a cocktail party (see above) in Times Square
Monday-Thursday and we will throw in Santa and Elves
to greet your guests during the cocktail hour before changing
to present a hilarious Improv Comedy show.

WHO KILLED SANTA Murder Mystery

You hired the wrong team of entertainers this year. The mobbed up party planner/DJ was cheap for a reason. But the real problem is the guy he hired to play Santa and greet your guests as they arrive for cocktail hour. This guy, in addition to being in a love triangle with Mrs Claus and the Elf, has huge gambling debts and a drinking problem. It turns out he has ties to some folks in our office as well. So when he turns up dead, after every one cheers, EVERYONE IS A SUSPECT and it is up to your team and our NYC detective to solve the case.

$2500 includes 4 performers, props, costumes etc. NO additional charge for any venue in 5 boros. Add travel for great travel distances. Or we can host at our Times Square Theater with a range of catering options.

Morgan StanleyHoliday Characters

For our fourth event working with Morgan Stanley Risk Management we sent a team of Elves to do the Gangnam Style Dance (Pictured at Midtown Club).

The past two years we sent Santa, Elf and Mrs Claus.

2007 – the first year – was a $40K+ event with ice sculptures filled with shrimp cocktail in the lobby of the NY Laugh Factory – at the time NYC’s largest club, as holiday characters (Walt Frasier as Santa pictured with former CEO, John Mack) greeted guests and directed folks to coat check, bar and hors d’oeuvres, a massive dinner buffet took up the 2nd largest stage/theater (5 total stages sat 60-300ppl) and the Main room was packed with Risk Management Division employees and their plus ones. After our Improv Comedy Show (Pictured, Freeze Frame features many audience volunteers on stage having fun) the club put out an equally impressive buffet of desserts.

We have some of the best holiday entertainment in NYC. Walt Frasier has played Santa at Madison Square Garden, on Good Morning America, strolling Little Italy as the Official Arthur Ave Santa for past 7 years and dozens of corporate events every year. To go with Santa, how about Elves, Carolers, Mrs Claus and even the – well you know who – that hairy green guy likes to steal Christmas!
